Let Me Tell You a Little Secret

Lately, I've been using one of my favorite cookbooks quite a bit, and frankly, I'm not sure why I go so long not using it. Presenting:
"200 tested recipes to save time and money. Made with 58 easy do-it-yourself mixes. Low cost and better nutrition. Enjoy delicious breads, breakfasts, main dishes, appetizers and super desserts. Great for gifts and camping, too!"

This is one of the best-kept secrets I know. It is a pretty old and out-dated cookbook as far as photos and aesthetic quality go, but let me tell you, as a busy college student it is my best friend. It was published in 1978, I'm pretty sure my Grandmother used it a lot in her years of cooking for her family. I got this as a gift from my mom for my birthday a few years ago and have loved it ever since. It has converted me to the make-ahead way of life because it makes dinner so much easier during the week. A family favorite from this book is Shepherd's Pie. Its to die for. You should try it out. I have found them on Amazon and probably ebay too.
